One thing I like least about this room is…

modern living room with yellow rug{Matthew Williams via House to Home}

I have kind of mixed feelings about this living room so I’m interested to hear what you think. Not sure whether I’d use yellow clogs as an accessory in my flat but each to their own!

Hope you have a fun weekend planned – I’m going to be looking for a new flat. More on that soon :-)

    Yes I´ve always had mixed feelings about this room, too. I really like the sofa, the rug and the lamp. The wall color is kind of interesting. Everything else is not my cup of tea. Especially that weird doll (?) or whatever it is.

    I love the colour yellow used and the overall feeling it gives to the room, love the coffee table, rug, sofa, chair, shelving / bookcase and the way the framed pictures are placed against the bookcase. Love the vase and the flowers. Don’t like the bright yellow clogs, think they’re supposed to be a bit of fun but feels like they’re making fun! Don’t like the feature photograph on the wall, it would drive me mad!!! Don’t like the wall covering behind this either. A few tweaks here and there and it could be a very nice room!! xx

    I too dislike the doll but love the rug. The sofa is fine but the lamp is odd. That corner needed something more. Maybe a floor lamp to balance the bookshelf.

    I like the rug and the chair against the wall but otherwise am not sold. What is with the doll? And too much on the coffee table. It sort of looks like an okay home catalogue picture. (ooh I got mean on this one0

    That painting/photograph is GORGEOUS! I want it for my own. Seriously. The rest of the room is anti my style. But that picture….ahhhh.

    The room feels crowded and small and dark. There is lots of things on display everywhere and I wonder if that is to ‘obscure’ the dominant artwork (not my choice of artwork either). I don’t mind the dark wall colour personally though, and it looks like the couch colour is there to lighten it up but with everything else in room it feels like any light is being ‘absorbed’!!
