Deepest, darkest grey

I am obsessed by this deepest, darkest grey at the moment and debating where in Le Flat I can paint it. It’s one of those brilliant colours that’s nothing on its own. But mix it with a bright pink, soft heather, bold yellow or burnt orange and it suddenly blazes into life…

The gorgeous combination of fresh mint, lavender and flame coloured dahlias has my vote too. Simply beautiful.

To my mind, the trouble with these moody colours is that in the cold light of morning, or at the end of a dreary dank day at the office, they just are too much with out the right lighting, or a sunny day.

I have trouble with WHITE too. The sky in England is, more often than not, GREY. I live in the country and the predominant colour bouncing into the rooms is GREEN, White walls will always take up whatever colour is near them. So that’d be grey or green. Very cooling/cold and dreary and may not go with the fabulous schemes you have concocted in your interior.
