Basha is our inspirational partner in Bangladesh that helps survivors of trafficking rebuild their lives. They do this not with handouts, but by providing vulnerable women with training and supported employment making vintage sari kantha quilts, so they can support their families through dignified work. We’ve been working with them for over a year now and it’s always such a joy to hear how their enterprise is growing and learn that even more brave women have been given the chance to join the team. Last week, they sent us this new video that really brings the Basha story to life and demonstrates why we’re so passionate about showcasing their beautiful work to the world!
With every kantha quilt bought from Decorator’s Notebook, we can help Basha move one step closer to helping one more women out of poverty. If you’d like to help, please visit our shop to see the beautiful kantha quilts available today. And now, when your quilt arrives, you can even send a personal message to the woman who made it. Take a look at the stories page to read about each employee and send her a note… how lovely is that?
